Activity Desriptions
Boccee: - Played on the Boccee Courts on Tuesdays at 7:00PM, weather permitting. There are 4 teams
with each team consisting of 4 players - usually 2 couples. All four teams will play, then the two winning
teams will play, and the other two will play for third place.
This is not a group of people who are very good at Bocce, but it ia always fun. Don’t worry if you don’t know
the rules, we’ll do research.
Starting in October, we will begin our fall champions series. You get one point for playing, one point for
every victory, and a bonus point if you win both matches. The fall champions tour will go through the second
week of December. The winning couple will win something wonderful.
Trivia: - Casual game of Trivia every so often from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm, usually in the Glen Abbey Clubhouse.
Questions are created and the game is hosted by a rotating member of the usual players on a volunteer basis.
There is no dining service but there is an ice machine, microwave, and refrigerator available and the
set-up/tear-down are the responsibility of the players. Parking is limited so golf carts are recommended.
Poker: Played in the Men's Grill from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm every so often with usually 6-7 guys.
Remember to bring $5 and $1 bills (so it’s easier to pay out at the end). All chips are 25 cents. 3 raise limit,
$1 limit on bet ($2 on the last bet). No “match the pot” games. The game is dealers’ choice,
and the deal will rotate among the players.
Group Dinner - Occasional dinners are arranged at local restaurants by someone in the group,
and all who can attend are invited to come along. Ordering is from the menu and food/drinks are each
person/couples responsibility.
